Corel gets set for next WordPerfect. The Canadian software maker sets a date of late April for the release of the latest version of its flagship office suite, reworked to lure in corporate buyers. [CNET News.com]

Wordperfect is still a popular in legal academia with most law schools supporting it and many law professors holding large archives of work written in various version back to 4.1 for DOS.  Interestingly enough, many have been slow on updating to the newer versions, primarily concerned about the integrity of older work in prior formats.
