Yaha Worm Spreads Beyond Middle East Yaha.K is a mass-mailing worm and propagates through e-mail, using its own built-in SMTP engine. It can also retrieve addresses from Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger and .Net Messenger Service directories. The worm also is designed to launch a denial-of-service attack against a target server in Pakistan.  - Eweek

Supreme Court stays California DVD ruling - Computerworld - Last Thursday, Justice Sandra Day O'Connor issued a stay on a California Supreme Court ruling in a 1999 case brought by the DVD Copy Control Association (DVD CCA) against Texas resident Matthew Pavlovich.
The stay was issued in response to an application by the DVD CCA and remains in effect pending a response from the defendant, due by the end of today, and further action by O'Connor.

Nonprofit group takes over management of .org domain - Computerworld - After being administered by for-profit companies since its inception in 1995, the .org Internet domain for organizations and groups is now being overseen by the nonprofit Public Interest Registry.
